  • An artist working through a cut on the LUMORA studio floor

Our standard, which is to say our longest. Consultation, wash, cut, detail and finish — built for people who want the shape decided properly the first time rather than corrected for six months.

    The Ritual

    1. 12m
      Consultation

Twenty minutes standing up, before anything is wet. Growth pattern, density, cowlicks, what your mornings actually look like. We map the head and agree the shape out loud.

    2. 8m
      Preparation

A wash at the basin with warm water and a clarifying cleanse, then towel-dried to the exact dampness the cut needs. Some shapes are cut wet; some are cut dry. We decide here.

    3. 22m
      The Cut

Structure first — perimeter, weight distribution, the line that holds everything else. Scissors lead. Clippers only where the geometry genuinely calls for them.

    4. 10m
      Detailing

The part nobody sees and everybody notices. Hairline softened by hand, neck shaped to your natural line, ears cleared, the crown checked against its own growth.

    5. 8m
      The Finish

Dried and styled the way you will do it yourself, not the way that photographs best. You leave knowing which product, how much, and in what order.

    Tools

    • Japanese 5.5" scissors
    • Thinning shears
    • Clipper-over-comb
    • Ionic dryer
    • Carbon cutting comb
One Ritual

Every visitruns thesame five

A twenty-five minute reset and a ninety minute transformation are the same sequence at different scale. Nothing gets skipped — the stages simply get shorter.

  1. Consultation

Twenty minutes standing up, before anything is wet. Growth pattern, density, cowlicks, what your mornings actually look like. We map the head and agree the shape out loud.

  2. Preparation

A wash at the basin with warm water and a clarifying cleanse, then towel-dried to the exact dampness the cut needs. Some shapes are cut wet; some are cut dry. We decide here.

  3. The Cut

Structure first — perimeter, weight distribution, the line that holds everything else. Scissors lead. Clippers only where the geometry genuinely calls for them.

  4. Detailing

The part nobody sees and everybody notices. Hairline softened by hand, neck shaped to your natural line, ears cleared, the crown checked against its own growth.

  5. The Finish

Dried and styled the way you will do it yourself, not the way that photographs best. You leave knowing which product, how much, and in what order.

The only stage that genuinely varies is the consultation. On a reset it is sixty seconds; on a transformation it is half an hour, and it occasionally ends with us telling you to come back in six weeks instead. That conversation is free and it is the most valuable part of the appointment.
