Lumen Crop

A short, squared crop with a soft-swept fringe. Precise enough to read as intentional, forgiving enough to survive a nine-hour day and a wet walk home.

01 — The shape

Why it
works

The Lumen Crop is LUMORA's reference point — the cut every other shape in the archive is measured against. Weight is removed from the interior so the fringe falls forward without a fight, and the perimeter is squared rather than rounded to keep the silhouette architectural.

It works because it does very little. There is no dramatic disconnection, no shelf, no statement. What you get instead is a clean frame around the face that photographs well from every angle and grows out in a straight line rather than collapsing.

Ask for it if you want to stop thinking about your hair and still be the best-groomed person in the room.

02 — Fit

Face shapes

  • Oval
  • Square
  • Heart

A guide, not a rule. Bone structure matters more than the outline of your face, and that is what the consultation is for.

03 — Method

Styling approach

  1. 01

Towel-dry to 80%, then push the fringe forward with fingers only.

  2. 02

A pea of matte clay warmed between the palms — never applied straight from the tin.

  3. 03

Cold-shot the fringe for ten seconds to lock the forward fall.
