Why it

A buzz is not the absence of a cut. Guard choice, how the crown is worked against the growth pattern, and whether the hairline is left natural or softened by hand are all decisions — and they are the difference between a buzz and a shave.
We cut the Signal with a soft-edged hairline rather than a hard corner. Hard corners date the cut within a week and look severe in photographs.
